What do you want to do with your life? How should you live your life? What is your calling? 

All of these questions, and questions like them, can be answered in many ways depending on your core assumptions. If you’re an atheist, you will answer those questions in certain ways. If you follow Islam, you will answer them in other ways. However as a Christian, presumably, you want to align your life, your actions, and your calling with what God has revealed in the Bible. As theologians may say it, you want to walk coram deo or before the face of God (Numbers 6:22-27). 

This coram Deo filter is how we consider what goes up on our YouTube channel, sent out through email, or wherever you see Total Calling information. It’s about personal development, but it’s selected and organized in light of what God has revealed in the Bible. In short, the aim of Total Calling is to help you become the person God wants you to be through biblical personal development.

The 9 Major Areas of Life

Becoming what God wants you to be is not easy. There are 9 major areas of life that every person must address to be a well-grounded person. To live in a way that would be wise as defined in Scripture, you cannot neglect any of these areas. They include:

• Physical
• Career
• Financial
• Marriage and integrity
• Children and mentees
• Social
• Service
• Trials
• Spirituality  

Over time, my goal is to address each of these areas through videos, podcasts, and other media. These current and future resources should help support anyone looking to become the person God wants them to be. My desire for this project is for it to be an ongoing resource as you look to develop as a person and as a Christian. As you grow, you will need help in your career, with your money, in your marriage and integrity, with your children and mentees, in your social life, through trials, and in light of your relationship with God (or spirituality). By addressing all of these areas, you will ensure you’re not neglecting any important area of your life.
