Have you discovered “Overemployed” yet? These guys promise “your best life” by helping you make a healthy salary times two OR on rare occasions three or four salaries at the same time. Imagine making $100K a year. Not bad. Now imagine doubling that to $200K a year by working for two different companies — each of those companies didn’t know about your other full time job. And now that you’re raking in multiple six figures (and not spending it all), you’re buying nice stuff, saving money, investing, while maintaining a reasonable workload in the process. That’s Overemployed.

What is “Overemployed”?

According to their website: “Overemployed uplifts people’s lives by presenting an alternative path to a career. The Overemployed put families before corporations, and sustainable earning before overworking. We advocate for living a life well-lived.”

That’s marketing-speak for saying we help people work multiple full-time jobs, pile up cash, not get fired, and stay sane in the process. Want to know more about the “Overemployed” world – it’s not for the faint of heart.

How Do You Succeed at Overemployment?

  1. Get skills that tend to pay remote workers.
  2. Land a high-paying fully remote job.
  3. Do your job, but keep expectations low.
  4. Don’t get fired.
  5. Land a second “burner” job.
  6. Manage your schedule, computers, and meetings around both jobs.
  7. Don’t talk about it with anyone outside your immediate family.

What Are The Dangers?

  1. You could get fired.
  2. You could get sued.
  3. You could burn out.

Is Overemployment Moral from a Christian Perspective?

  • Don’t break your word.
  • Don’t violate your conscience.
  • Don’t break the law.

Is Overemployment for you?

  • Are you trying to get ahead financially?
  • Have you explored other types of income: side hustle, part-time job and it’s not for you?
  • Will your conscience allow for this kind of double employment?

Quote for the Day: Psalm 24:3-5

Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD?
And who shall stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to what is false
and does not swear deceitfully.
He will receive blessing from the LORD
and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
